Group of Seven Collection
An exhibit of original artwork from Canada’s iconic Group of Seven landscape painters.
Location
Third Floor

Located on the third floor of Casa Loma, this collection is comprised of artwork by various members of the Group of Seven. Active from 1920 to 1933, the Group of Seven (which eventually grew to ten members) was comprised of Canadian landscape painters. The Group believed that a distinct Canadian art could be developed through direct contact with nature. Their influence became so widespread that the decision was made to disband and form a new association called the Canadian Group of Painters in 1933.
